Biking for a Cause

With a goal to raise $500,000, the 26th annual Ride to End ALZ New England is 80% of the way there.

LC Anderson and longtime customer, J. Calnan & Associates are two of the sponsors of the June 4th event that will take place in Hampton, New Hampshire.

The Ride to End ALZ, is a one-day fundraising event, formerly known as the Memory Ride, to raise funds for Alzheimer’s research.

Along with the 518 in-person and virtual riders, LC Anderson’s co-president, Kurt Hudson will be cycling 100 miles along the beautiful coast of New Hampshire, and through picturesque Massachusetts towns and woodlands.

While this is the first time participating in the Ride to End ALZ event in person, Kurt Hudson is no stranger to biking for a cause. Kurt has spent two days cycling nearly 200 miles in the Pan-Mass Challenge raising funds for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, each year for the past 12 years.

“This is a cause that is near and dear to our hearts as we have experienced the impact of Alzheimer’s in our own family and with close friends,” said Kurt Hudson, LC Anderson co-president, “We are proud to be contributing to and participating in this fundraising event.”

Now in its 26th year, the Ride to End ALZ New England has raised over $7.5 million dollars to directly advance treatments and research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s.

A perfect ending to a successful event, participants will enjoy a big celebration on the beach with live music, barbecue, dips in the ocean, and cold beer!
