We are a commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration contractor and service company located in Boston. We serve general contractors, property managers, facilities engineers and building owners throughout Eastern Massachusetts in commercial buildings such as corporate offices, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, data centers, schools and retail. Our customers rely on us for our responsive, competent, capable, proactive and honest service.
Our purpose is to create safe and comfortable environments by solving problems, providing excellent service and building lasting relationships. Our goal is to be the premiere commercial HVACR company in the Boston area. We’re committed to completely understanding equipment, systems and—most importantly—our customers’ requirements.
Our History
LC Anderson was established in 1943 by Leslie Clayton Anderson. Mr. Anderson passed away in the 1978 and his family sold the business to two of the company’s employees, Ed Johnson, a salesman and Paul Baker, a bookkeeper. Ed and Paul operated the company from 1978 to 1995, when they were ready to retire.
Due to the company’s longevity and compelling reputation, Warren Hudson decided to purchase LC Anderson in 1995. At that time, the business was earning $2 million in annual sales and it had 12 employees. The largest customer was CVS, which included new construction and service for 325 locations.
Warren was succeeded by his two sons, Karl and Kurt Hudson, who began running the company in 2013. The second generation of Hudsons have continued to grow the business and deliver upon the LC Anderson legacy and reputation. The company now has a team of more than 50 employees.
Safety
We take our responsibility for the safety of everyone we encounter and our employees very seriously. Our goal is to ensure that our customers’ systems perform effectively and efficiently, and everyone gets home safely. To protect our employees from harm, we have developed a safety program that includes reinforcing our safety policy, pertinent OSHA training, supervisory safety training, job site audits and more. We remind our workers to use good judgement, assess every job for potential hazards and use personal protective equipment.
Training
LC Anderson believes in continuing education for everyone on the team. Not only are we well-educated about the latest safety, equipment and technology, we receive training to enhance our leadership potential, rapport-building skills, customer service, communication and much more. From January through April, we hold weekly training in our office on different topics for our entire team. Each employee has a professional development plan and receives the training they need personally to grow in their career.
Sustainability
It is well known that commercial buildings have a significant impact on our environment. Heating and cooling can account for as much as 40% of the energy used in commercial buildings. Energy conservation, indoor air quality, and comfort are among the primary sustainability objectives for heating, air conditioning and ventilation design. We work with customers to design and maintain energy-efficient systems that optimize performance and reduce operating costs and carbon footprint.
